ways to get your natural gas bill down:


1. Get a new ';condensing'; boiler..they will save you about 10-


30% on your bill depending on what boiler you have atm.


2. If there are any rooms which you dont use, then turn the radiators off on the valves!(turn them down basically)


3. If you have a cylinder..turn the temperature on the cylinder stat down to 50 degrees this is warm enough!


4.Leave the hot water times on constantly (unless u have a combi). this sounds stupid but instead of switching it on and off this stops the burner firing on full rate all the time and this is when most gas is used. best thing to do if u have 4 or more people in the house is to leave it on constant if you're home alot.


5. if you dont have one already...get a sparky to fit a roomstat onto your system.


6. go to your plumbing merchants and buy some pipe ';lagging';. this is grey insulation...fit it onto pipes in aering cupboards or generally unheated spaces, cold spots etc. its fairly easy...it just slides over the pipes and keeps alot of heat in!


7. get cetral heating water treatment. a plumber will do this for 拢200 roughly...it cleanses your heatin and hot water system and akes it alot more afficient.


8. DONT turn the stat on your boiler up to max...have it roughly 3/4 of the way around as this will be hot enough!
