no cant wait to long, but 1000 is a bit steap if its under warinty then the dealer should pay if not take it to a good mechanic, will be cheaper. even cheaper way is to buy the parts you need and ask a garage mechanic to fit for you.
i wouldnt wait but if budget restraints do not allow for a speedy replacement take it really easy on the poor thing as it can cause other suspension and steering issues find a man with a tool box and have them replaced asap
