What government agency controls veterinary medical cost?

Former Senator Al Gore once pointed out rightly so, that veterinary medicine cost much less than medical care for people.

So what government act or agency can we credit for the low cost of veterinary care?

IMHO they should be out in charge of all medicine as soon as possible. What government agency controls veterinary medical cost?
There is not a government agency that regulates vet costs. What government agency controls veterinary medical cost?
I agree having recently paid 700 dollars to have a barbed weed seed, forgot the name, removed from my dog's throat. Often most of these procedures are accomplished by talented, non doctor, assistants, by the way. The doctor may only appear when there are complications. Who the hell knows?
Very funny. Veterinary costs are low because we do not do the amount of research that we do for people and we tend to just euthanize the animal if it is very sick. Also, animals don't live very long.
